ROSIE SECKER

Rosie has been teaching and performing professionally for the last ten years, having trained with the Vocal & Operatic Department at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire (First Class BMus Hons) and in Musical Theatre Performance at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts (PGDip, MA). As a performer, Rosie has worked in opera, musical theatre, choral, film and currently sings throughout Europe as a cabaret and jazz soloist.

Having been teaching for ten years, Rosie is passionate about music education and has worked with children and adults in schools, colleges, and higher education, whilst keeping up a busy private studio. Rosie believes in nurturing a free and healthy voice, whilst finding expression and emotion through song. Trained in Estill Vocal Technique and undertaking continued CPD, Rosie ensures students have a technical understanding of how their voice works in a fun and friendly environment. Working with all levels of singers, she is experienced in preparing students for drama school and conservatoire auditions, singers taking graded exams, actors and dancers wanting to develop their singing voice, professionals wanting to understand more about technique and vocal health, and those finding their voice for the first time.

Rosie is also a certified 500hr Yoga Teacher and specialises in Yoga for Singers, using movement and yoga to free up the voice and give singers a more functional understanding of the relationship between their body, breath, mind and voice. Ultimately, Rosie believes that singing should be a fun and creative experience, and everyone is welcome!
