Australian/American soprano Corinne Cowling was most recently performing as understudy to the leading role of Christine Daaé on London’s West End in the original production of Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera at Her Majesty’s Theatre and Anne Egerman in Sondheim’s A Little Night Music with Opera North/Leeds Playhouse.

Corinne has performed in major concert halls across the UK as soprano soloist for Raymond Gubbay’s Johann Strauss Gala National UK Tour 2017, 2018, and 2019. Corinne originally trained as a classical ballet dancer at the Charlesworth Institute and the Royal Conservatoire (The Hague, The Netherlands) where she was selected to perform pieces by Jiří Kylián on tour across The Netherlands for the Holland Dance Festival. Subsequently, Corinne transitioned to a career in opera and musical theatre, graduating with a Bmus, GradDip (Opera Studies) from the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts, and an MMus, MPerf in Vocal Performance (Distinction) from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, London.

Corinne currently teaches vocal technique specialising in classical voice, musical theatre and breathing for dancers. She is on the faculty at Scenaria Studios, Be.Training Programme Northfleet School for Girls, The Vocal Coaches, and is the founder of Sing With Corinne, her private studio in Twickenham where she enjoys teaching her students of all ages and levels.

Corinne is currently studying towards a Post Graduate Certificate in Vocal Pedagogy at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David/Voice Workshop, and is a certified Vocal Health First Aider (Vocal Health Education). Corinne is thrilled to be joining The Sing Space and is looking forward to working with the Sing Space singers!
